Coaching Profile
In sports, coaches encourage and enhance the talents and skills of individual
athletes to contribute to a winning team effort. At the same time, the
coach's skills and talents are elevated to take on new, exciting challenges.
It's no different in business.
Becoming a good coach has both personal and professional rewards. A good
coach can empower others to be more productive, achieve individual goals,
and contribute to the company's vision. At the same time, an employee
with good coaching skills is also on a journey of self-development; thus,
they are usually more productive and effective, better able to work with
peers toward common goals, and thus more promotable.
This Coaching Profile can be used:
- To improve coaching performance
- As a 360 feedback tool for developing coaches
- For a coachee to give input as to how he/she wants to be coached (to
develop coach/coachee AND mentor/mentee relationship).
This profile is designed to determine your current coaching strengths
in four areas: Communication, Focus on Others, Approach to Work, and Risk
Tolerance. Once you examine your personal tendencies in each of these
four categories, you will have a baseline to work from as you develop
additional coaching skills. The instrument then guides you through the
development of a personal action plan for each category.
As you develop coaching skills that encourage, reinforce, and constructively
instruct others, you'll be rewarded with more productive alliances and
enhance your ability to impact change.
The Coaching Profile can be applied to:
- Cultural Coaching/Mentoring (Acquisitions, Critical Change, Crisis
Management)

with their people, by providing coaching and communication skills

coaching process. This type of coaching is designed to assist in
identifying, managing, and aligning individual emotions to increase
effectiveness and interaction. In today's rapid change, it is necessary
to develop skills to reduce emotional gaps with EI coaching interventions.
Organizations can also evaluate one's EI capabilities through the
360 coaching assessment, which can then be applied to the EI coaching
skills of a team.
